I am interested in exploring social-environmental systems dynamics in
the past, present, and future. My current work is focused on
collaborative, transdisciplinary projects with Indigenous communities in
western North America. More information on current research is available

I received my PhD and MA from Stanford
University, and my BS degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I have been
at the University of Utah since 2012, where I am currently professor of
Anthropology, director of the Archaeological Center, research
affiliate with the Global
Change and Sustainability Center, SPARC Environmental Justice Lab, and
Natural History Musuem of Utah, and
faculty fellow with the Responsible
Artificial Intelligence Initiative in the Scientific Computing and Imaging
Institute.
