local and national newspapers.
Two sources that I have found to be particularly useful for their coverage

Governor's Election Information
For official government information on Utah, check the state's website.
The Lt. Governor's office is the best source of official information on
Utah elections. In other states, similar official information can usually
be found at the Secretary of State's Office webpage.

The National Election Studies data provides a variety of summary statistics
from the 1952 through 1998 National Election Study surveys. The Census
site provides detailed information on registration and turnout for the
US and also for each of the states.
Campaign Finance Information

- The Center for Responsive Politics
Center for Public Integrity
The Federal Election Commission provides data that federal candidates,
political parties, and political action committees, must report on their
campaign financing. The Center for Responsive Politics and the Center for
Public Integrity are nonprofit research organizations that provide analysis
of the trends in campaign finance.
